A Little Story About How We Got Here
Born From a Love of Biking
A long, long time ago, there was a girl who liked bikes. She rode them, raced them and spent a lot of time traveling the country doing bike stuff. She was very happy. People would often wonder what that shit ass grin was all about. Riding bikes offered her feelings of liberation, excitement and fun. Alas, the clothes available to racer chicks of the time didn’t truly compliment those feelings. She shrugged her shoulders and soldiered on.
Like in any good fairy tale, the girl eventually met a guy. Not a prince but she kissed him anyway. This guy liked bikes too and they shared an unconventional sense of style and rode together ’til their hearts content. The girl designed, the guy sewed and they enjoyed trying out atypical biking togs. Sometimes friends would even like the designs and want one for their very own.
Eventually Cogma Bikewear was born. Great fabrics got found and dedicated people were lined up to sew the designs. Arduous days, weeks and months went into testing and further refining the first production styles. The girl and the guy traveled near and far. Mountains, deserts, various US States and even foreign countries saw their tire tracks. Incredibly, they found the process not arduous at all!
In fact, it became a quest to create bike clothes that compliment that youthful feeling of liberation. The hours of hard riding proved that unorthodox style isn’t only for the bike path, coffee shop or local pub. They found that looking good, having fun and riding hard shouldn’t each be their own separate categories. They became even more excited to share the word.
Today the girl, the guy and Cogma Bikewear are located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It’s a bit like a magical kingdom here. The summers are lush and green and winter days are filled with mountains of fluffy white snow. Thanks for reading our little story. We hope you share some of the same feelings we do.
